Halfway

I am ending my summer with a smile on my face. It's because I passed my thesis 1 yesterday.

I just had my first defense yesterday and you can't imagine how happy I am. Although, it's only a thesis proposal... the fact that I am a working student who finally finished thesis 1 is an achievement. The first few months of this year was just stressful. I was kind of sleep and pamper deprived. Since I am one of the new nurses in our ward, most of the work load are given to us, the juniors. And every time I go home, I find it hard to concentrate on my studies because I am always dead tired.

The perks of working and studying at the same time...

This is a picture of my token of appreciation to my panel. Haha! I was in a rush so I just ended up buying a journal for them.

This is me before the defense...

I wasn't supposed to wear this blouse because I think the gray one that I have in my closet is my lucky charm top (I always pass the interview whenever I wear that gray blouse). But then, it doesn't look like I am dressed up for a defense. So this was my second choice.

I didn't want to bring my laptop with me but mama's net book doesn't have Microsoft Powerpoint installed. No choice, I brought a lot of things. My left shoulder hurt when I got home.

As for the defense proper, I was asked a few questions. Of course, I was asked about the rationale behind my study. Why I am interested in doing that study? I wanted to answer... because I have no choice? Haha. Kidding. I thought I wasn't able to answer their questions but I did. What makes me proud of myself is that the panel learned something from me too. :)

So now, I am on the second part of my thesis which is the hardest past. I hope this October, I'll be able to finally add MAN at the end of my name. :)
