We will miss you, Weasley

I couldn't explain in words how devastated I am upon learning that Weasley's health status is critical.

He was rushed to the animal clinic yesterday due to seizures. The vet said he has meningitis. This morning, we called the vet for updates and sad to say, he might give up anytime. :( When I went to the vet to see Weasley, I couldn't help but shed in tears while calling his name. He's too young to die. He's only 3 months old. :( I still couldn't understand how he was able to contract this fatal viral infection.

Weasley, we will miss you. I will miss you a lot especially those moments when you beg me to carry you (I couldn't resist your begging eyes). I will miss everything about you. I love you Weasley even though you've only stayed with us for a month. :(

Long VL Diaries: Day 17 - 19

My long vacation leave is finally over. Tonight at 11 pm, I'm going back to work. Night shift + charge nurse = OHNOES! What is life! I'm so sad that our head nurse didn't grant my request. Before I went for a vacay, I told him not to appoint me as a charge nurse on my 1st day of work primarily because I don't have any idea with our patients' cases. In addition, it will be my first time to be a charge nurse. Being a perfectionist that I am, I'd like to prepare myself when I become a charge nurse. As a medication nurse, I always see to it that I don't commit mistakes. I'm proud to say that I have never written an incident report on my first year as a medication nurse. Now that I'm few steps ahead including 7 juniors behind me, our head nurse is expecting  a lot from me and I don't want to fail him and most especially myself. So good luck to me later.

Anyway, last Friday (Day 17) I spent my night until dawn with my high school best friends. Elena who's now residing in Hawaii came home for a visit until God knows how long. We stayed at Elena's house, had dinner and checked our batch mate's Facebook accounts. Lol!! We were like, "Ohmygod! Siya na yan?!" Hahaha! It's like everything we talked about that night are high school stuff and people. I think the good thing about us is that we never "get old" figuratively and literally speaking. Hehe!

Photobooth session. Thanks Elena for the chocolates!
On the 18th Day, I was supposed to spend it with my online-turned-offline best friends. Our original plan is to go to Enchanted Kingdom because the last time I went there is like more than a decade ago. Haha! Since the plan didn't push through, Karen and I (like always! Haha) spent our afternoon in TriNoma, ate snacks at Coffee Bean, talked about our lovelife and ended up buying make-ups. Haha!! Before we went home, we were fortunate enough to see Divine Lee again in person (we first saw her during the Blogger's United event). I swear, I really love her! Queen mother of becky! <3 Hehe!

When I got home, I tried the pink lipstick I bought. I'm eyeing on different hot and light pink lipsticks but I settled for the cheapest since I don't know if it suits me well. What do you think?

Taken from my iPad
On the last day (Day 19), I woke up early to be able to attend the morning mass. I know that I have been negligent with my duties as a Catholic so yesterday I made sure I get to attend the mass in order to ask God for guidance in my life and at work.

After the mass, my parents decided to buy the Shih Tzu that TJ's friend posted on her Facebook a few days ago. Thanks to TJ who made the transactions with his friend. We went to Cubao at 1 PM to get the Shih Tzu. He was first named Peepo but we decided to name him Ashton afterwards. My sister wanted to name him Liempo after Divine Lee's pup but Mama didn't like it. Since Alodia was named after the Cosplayer, we thought of naming the other pup after the sister, Ashley. Since he's a he, we then named him Ashton. Hahaha!

Ashton was very suplado at first. He's trying to adapt to his new family.

Ashton and Alodia. So cute! <3

So there goes my long VL... Looking forward to my long vacay again next year! Hoping to blog about my action packed experiences in the hospital when I find time!

Long VL Diaries: Day 15 - 16

Day 15
My "bebe girl"

Alodia on the examination table

Went to the vet for Alodia's second check-up. She was supposed to be vaccinated but the vet opted to deworm her instead. It was my first time to commute with a dog. I was kinda anxious that she might run away or something. Haha!

Day 16

I asked the vet yesterday if Alodia can already drink milk because last week she had an LBM after drinking fresh milk. He advised me to buy milk for infants if I can't get any milk for puppies. I think she liked it. :)

Long VL Diaries: Day 14

A late Happy Valentine's greeting from me to my readers! :)

Yesterday, I was still not feeling well but a little bit better compared to Day 12 and 13. I wanted to ignore how special this day is for couples but I can't help it. Every taken person on my news feed, dashboard and timeline posted about dates, flowers, etc. I was kinda bitter at first (Haha! I'm sorry!) but ended up very happy for my friends who received sweet stuff from their boyfriends.

Seeing their photos reminded me of his surprises during our 4 year relationship. He never failed to surprise me on every Valentine's Day. Before I met him, I always say that Valentine's Day shouldn't be a big deal because cliche as it may sound, everyday must be a Valentine's Day for every couple. But hello? We live in a real world... not in a fairy tale so the "everyday must be a Valentine's Day" thing doesn't happen to most of the couples. So when we became a couple, that day became really special to me. Every year, as much as I don't want to expect any surprises, I can't help but to look forward to it. On our first year, he gave me a teddy bear with chocolates. In 2009, he made me really mad on the evening of February 13 until the morning of February 14... Little did I know, he was outside my house with a bouquet of flowers. In 2010, I can't exactly remember but I think he gave me chocolates and a bunch of flowers. In 2011, he took me out on a surprise date and we watched the annual Pyromusical Olympics in Mall of Asia (that's when Katy Perry's song Firework became our theme song. Lol, I kid). And in 2012... nothing. NGANGA! Lol.

It made me sad. I missed everything... not only him but also the things he did for me. Like what I always say, he's my first in almost everything. I know that I haven't really blogged about what really happened. It's something that I really, really wanted to let it all out in my blog just to make me feel better. But it's too complicated and the fact that this blog doesn't only have one reader, I don't think it's appropriate to post it in public. One thing I want to say is that I was kind of devastated. I always ask God... why me? I have never wronged anyone. My friends know that the last thing I would do to anyone is to hurt them. I'm not a saint. I'm kind of a bitch sometimes but I was raised by my parents not to step on anyone's toes. "Less words, less mistakes," that's what my mom told me but then she told me that if it's time to fight and to stand up, then do it. I think I've fought for what I believe in... and that is: Let God do His works. I remained calm and quiet. I tried to keep all the good vibes and get rid of the negativities. His mom also told me, "Huwag mong babaguhin ang sarili mo na ikakasira mo para lang makapagmove on. Huwag mong ibahin yun pagkakakilala sa'yo ng mga tao..." I get what his mom told me and I felt how much she loves me by trying to guide me to the right path like what my own parents do. I think what makes me guilty about this break up thing is that I never told any of my family members that we're not together anymore. My parents don't have any single idea that we have already broken up. And I think that it's difficult to pretend that you're okay at home because who do you really turn to when you've got no one else? Your family, right? But I tried to keep mum about it;  I took away that "privilege" to feel better in the arms of my family... Just because I think it's the best thing to do as of this moment.

So anyway, last night I was surprised by these:

A bunch of red flowers, a teddy bear, chocolates and a card
It was delivered at my doorstep and it came from my best friend who knows that I've been used to Valentine's Day surprises. I really appreciate the effort even though I prefer pink roses and that my name on the card is Jeremy instead of Xyla. Hehe. I know that my best friend wanted me to be happy despite the fact that the surprise wasn't from a boyfriend. Still and all, I was deeply touched by this surprise.

Long VL Diaries: Day 12 - 13

Day 12

This was the day that we had to leave Pagudpod. I didn't want to leave yet but it was really time to go. :( /cries

Before we went back to La Union we had numerous stop overs to buy pasalubongs and souvenirs for friends and for ourselves. We ate breakfast at Batac, Ilocos Norte where the famous Ilocos empanada is being sold.

I wondered what's the craze about this empanada until I saw the ingredients: egg, longganisa and some monggo sprouts. It's different from the usual empanada I buy at work (ham and cheese empanada, chicken empanada, etc).

Yummy!

We also ordered longganisa
You should really try it. I ordered for double double: 2 eggs and 2 longganisa. It costs Php70. But if you order for special, it only costs Php 35. :) Buwis buhay talaga yun double double. If you're hypertensive, I think you better settle for the special empanada na lang. Hehehe.

Next: Vigan. We've been here before. It was sad because we didn't go to the Heritage Plaza. I was hoping I could take pictures of the old infrastructure. We only had our stop over at Marsha's delicacies. The best ang leche flan!

Then we went to Baluarte as well where all the wild animals of Governor Chavit Singson are. In fairness, ang yaman niya!

The place is like a zoo so nothing special to write about except this is where I bought the halo-halo that caused me my loose bowel movement. On our way back to La Union, I suddenly felt the gastric pain that made me uncomfortable during our travel. When we arrived in La Union, I rushed to the toilet and pooed. I didn't want to take Imodium but because we're travelling back to Manila, I was forced to take a capsule. Whenever you have an LBM, it's best that you don't take Imodium at first. You need to let it all out! Hehe. Make sure you hydrate yourself more to replace what you've lost.

We were home at 12:30 am with two stopovers due to my LBM.

Day 13

I tried to observe myself first before I asked my father to rush me to the emergency room of our hospital (where I am working). I couldn't take the stomach upset anymore. I was actually hesitant to ask my father a favor at 2 am because I know he's tired from driving but there was no choice.

In the emergency room, I told them that I am an employee. It was a co-trainee back in 2010 (now an ER staff) who took my initial vital signs and data. Unfortunately, I was disappointed of the staff. I know that I am a nurse who knows the stuff that they do so me being a patient is not their priority because I'm just having a fucking LBM. It's always a prioritization in the hospital, remember? But... If I didn't tell them I was having gastric pain, no one would approach me. I just slept there for an hour. I was asked to pass a specimen for fecalysis/stool exam but to no avail. And then I told the resident on duty that I needed something for my pain (I'm quite a drug dependent... I mean for pain relievers) but she told me that they can't give me for now because they wanna know the result of my fecalysis first. Sad... I went home with a specimen cup and tongue depressor and a prescription of Hydrite and request for fecalysis which I was advised to pass as OPD.

At 10 am, I finally got to pass a specimen for the fecalysis. I went to the nearest clinic for a checkup and fortunately, the result said that I don't have an infection. It's just that maybe my stomach wasn't able to tolerate the milk or maybe the other ingredients of the halo halo. The doctor prescribed a few medicines that I would take for 2 days. Sadly, for Php25 worth of halo-halo, I spent Php900.00 for my treatment.

Long VL Diaries: Day 11

Mama woke us up at 7 am. Actually, the night before that I didn't notice that I fell asleep. The last time I can remember is that I lied on my bed at 9 pm... and was surprised that it was already 7 am the next day. I must have been really tired!

So, we went to Kabigan Falls in Pagudpod. Before reaching the beautiful scenery of the waterfalls, we had to trek for 30 minutes. The entrance is Php 30 per adult which includes the fee for the tour guide as well. Very cheap! :) My brother, father and I decided to walk with the tour guide and the rest of the gang had a "carabao ride" because of our packed baon.

Ahihi. "Papontang Falls"

Papa said, "O anak. Picture. Jumpshot!!" Hahaha! Because I am an obedient daughter...

Papa being a photobomber. I swear, the water was ice cold! Freezing to death talaga!

Yehessss...

Then on our way back, I tried the "carabao ride". Woot.

Next stop: Patapat Bridge. This was the one we missed in 2006 because when we got here, it was already in the evening so we didn't get the chance to see how beautiful this place is. So glad to finally see it at day time. :)

Next stop: Blue Lagoon. (My favorite!!!) Just check the pics and you'll know why this is my fave. :)

Just seeing this view from our car really made me so excited!

Gumaganun...
Oh... Ansaveehhh? Haha! This place... So... beautiful. Nakakainlove! :) We didn't swim here because it was too hot. We just ate lunch, then have ourselves mesmerized by this lovely place. :) It's also very windy in this place that our cottage kept on rocking while we were eating lunch. Haha!

Last for today: Back to Saud Beach where we immersed ourselves to the cold blue salty water. My cousin does skimboarding and surfing in San Juan, La Union so we took that opportunity to learn about skimboarding. It's an advantage if you're a skater... But I am not... So...

Obligatory solo picture for DP's lol

Really had fun on my Day 11. :) If only I could stop the world from turning... Choz!
