Dobby...

This is our pet dog, a mongrel aka askal, Dobby. My mom named him after the house elf in the movie, Harry Potter.

Just like in the movie, Dobby died. He left us yesterday morning without even saying goodbye. We think that he had a heart attack while sleeping. It was sudden. My dad was just talking about him while we were eating breakfast. He told us not to give him fatty foods for the mean time since he gained a lot of weight. I even noticed his weight last week. I even teased him and said, "Dobby! Mukha ka nang baka! Ang taba taba mo na. Ang takaw mo kase. Inaagawan mo ng pagkain si Cohen!" We were all not aware that he's already dying. :(

Yesterday, I cried so hard when I saw him dead. Dobby has been with us since I was in college. He was so cute when he was little. He is our security guard. He's very brave and aggressive. He barks loudly whenever he sees someone he doesn't know. He still barks at my boyfriend even though he knows him for three years. That is why whenever we leave the house, we are complacent that he will guard the house. We trusted him so much.

Dobby, wherever you are, I know you are in a good and happy place. Thank you for everything you've done for our family. I am truly sorry for my shortcomings. I may not be a caring person for dogs but I just want you to know that you have always been special to me. We love you and we will definitely miss you.
