Baby, you're a firework.

Last February 26, I went out on a date with TJ. He told me that he would treat me after he gets his salary. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular that night. I just thought that it would be one of those few dates we have. Just so you know, we seldom go out on a date. Being homebodies that we are, we usually stay home, watch movies and eat whatever is served on the table. But last Saturday, it was indeed memorable.

Few days before that date, TJ told me that we will hang out at MOA. I told him that I have a morning duty the next day and I don't want to go home and stay up late. He insisted that we will eat at MOA.

For a reason that I forgot, I told my sister that I'll be out on a Saturday night with TJ. She asked me if we're going to watch the Pyromusical Competition that is held in MOA every Saturdays until March 12, 2011. I said, "Hindi. Kakain lang kame."

That Saturday, I was very, very toxic at work that I even had no time to eat lunch. I told my senior nurses that I will make bawi on our dinner date. Haha! I left the hospital at 4:30 pm. While I was on the train going to EDSA, I suddenly remembered what my sister told me. I had a hunch that we will watch the fireworks. When I was on the  jeepney going to MOA, I calmed myself and set my mind that it is impossible for him to surprise me especially that we are on a tight budget. "Hindi, hindi niya ako isusurprise. Imposible," I kept telling myself.

When I saw him waiting for me in front of the SM Hypermarket, I apologized for being late. He then directed me towards the seaside area. "Planado mo na yata kung saan tayo kakain ha. Mukhang dire-diretso tayong maglakad eh!" He didn't say anything. We just walked. When I saw the Close-Up toothpaste booth, I joked and said, "OMG LOVE! AYOKO NANG LOVE-A-PALOOZA! OVERRATED! DON'T TELL ME DITO MO AKO DADALHIN!!" And he said, "TAPOS NA VALENTINE'S!!" Haha!

When we got to Pier One , a waiter approached him and TJ asked him about his reservation. Upon hearing those words, I looked at him and said, "Planado ba ito?!" He just smiled. So yeah, it was indeed a surprise from him. I wasn't thinking of the Pyromusical Competition yet when I noticed that he reserved two seats outside. I asked, "Bakit tayo dito sa labas?" He replied, "Para maganda ang view mamaya sa fireworks."

I then understood everything. So that's why he went to the mall early, insisted to eat at MOA and asked me to borrow my sister or brother's camera. I was teary-eyed when he told me about his plan. I just didn't imagine him doing that for me. I am not sure if he knows that I love watching fireworks display. I was so touched and twitterpated!

It was a bit sad though that I only brought my HTC Legend with me. I wasn't able to capture the fireworks in good resolution.

Just a few pictures that night:

Lol at the kaldero. Their mixed seafood soup is the best!

Best shot I've taken through my Android phone.

People watching the sunset while waiting for the Pyromusical Competition to start.

We arrived home at almost 1 am. My dad was sort of mad when we got home but the sermon was worth it. Hrhr. I really enjoyed that night that I had to blog it even if it's a week late.

Love, thank you so much for that night. It was indeed amazing. I love you. Hoping to see those fireworks display on our wedding. Hrhr.
